I have been a passionate musician and music educator for the past 25 years.
I have taught classroom music in schools as well as in band progams, conducted big bands and have been tutoring students my whole career. It is this aspect of education that excites me the most seeings students from the beginning of their musical journey and progressing through to wherever it leads them. Hopefully i am able to ignite a passion for a life long love of music whether they are playing instruments as a hobby or professionally.
I like to teach by example and always play the instruments in lessons and encourage students to see me play in a professional situation and to show how amazing music is for our soul.

what do i offer
I teach music performance and theory to students from ages 8 and up.
A broad range of musical style such as Pop, Rock , Classical, Jazz and any modern style you wish to learn .
I have over 600 books of music with a large number of backing tracks
What instruments are taught?
Flute, Clarinet , All saxophones, trumpet and trombone
Where are the lessons taught
In school hours at Mt St Patricks College Murwillumbah, St Josephs primary South Murwillumbah and Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar
Outside of school hours i teach in a large Air conditioned music room within the grounds of Mt St Patricks College
how long do lessons go for?
Lessons are held for 30minutes however longer lessons can be arranged
Private lessons through to a maximum of 3 students per group
How much do lessons cost?
I charge $43 for private 30 minute lessons and $23 per student in a group lesson
What are my qualifications to teach ?
Bachelor of Music Jazz saxophone, Graduate Diploma in secondary Education and over 25 years of experience
