Dear Parents and Students,
I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with you this year and I look forward to sharing the world of music making with you. To facilitate the smooth operation of my music studio, please find below a copy of my “2025 Private Music Tuition Policy Agreement”. I would appreciate you taking the time to read and consider each point and then sign and return the agreement to me before lessons commence or at the first lesson.
After conferring with parents, each student will each be provided with a weekly lesson time. I will be available and ready to teach your child each week at that time.
Lessons are based around a 9 week term plan. Price per lesson is $43 (private) and $23 (group).
Payments are made in advance for the whole term. Invoices will be emailed at the beginning of each term. Invoices are due to be paid prior to the commencement of lessons after which point a $25 late fee will be administered to the account.
If, for some reason (eg. sickness or excursion), your child is unable to attend the scheduled lesson, please notify me 24 hours in advance by phone or SMS. Preferably earlier in the week so that I can reschedule your lesson. Where possible and time allows I will provide a catch up lesson.
If your child forgets to come to their lesson the lesson will be forfeited by you as I will be there ready to teach. You will, of course, be billed for this lesson.
Students in group lessons will not be given makeup lessons for absences if the lesson goes ahead without them.
If you would like to cease lessons, please advise me by either a written letter of explanation and/or a phone call by the last Friday of term.
If notice to discontinue lessons is given after the commencement of term there will be a 4 week period of notice required.
Students are required to practice 3 times a week in addition to their lesson. This ensures that they are making progress and keeping up with their group if they are in group lesson .
I always welcome parents to sit in to watch lessons and be a part of the musical learning experience. Please ensure however, that there are no disruptions (movements or noise) so that we can provide a settled and conducive learning environment.
Students who play saxophone or clarinet need to always carry at least 3 spare reeds and cork grease. I can supply extra reeds at a cost of $5 per reed. however I prefer not to do this regularly due to the amount of reed stock I would need to hold.Please don’t hesitate to contact me, at any time, by email if you have any questions or concerns concerning your music lessons.
